What can you buy for the average house price in Worsley?

Worsley is a village in the city of Salford, in the 2011 Census, it was found that Worsley had a population of 11,974. Here, Jess Hughes looks at the average house prices along with the different types of property, along with what you can expect to buy within your budget based on what is currently on the market.

According to Zoopla, the average house in Worsley sold for £275,642 last year, most of those houses being semi-detached. This £275,642 takes into account the average based on detached houses, semi-detached, terraced and flats/apartments.

Worsley has great transport links. The closest train station to Worsley is Walkden train station, from Manchester you can catch connecting trains which will take you to other large cities and towns. There are also several bus routes which pass through Worsley connecting you to Greater Manchester, Leigh and Bolton. Worsley also has a direct link onto the M60 at Junction 13, which is great for those who need to commute to the office.

Worsley village is a conservation area, this was designated in 1969 and it is recorded on the council website that there are 28 listed buildings within the village to ensure the historical character is maintained.

The Worsley Court House is well known within the village of Worsley. This has been granted with a Grade II listed building status, this was historically used as a Magistrates Court. This is now used as a village hall and is also used to host events, such as parties.

Worsley is quite a scenic area with some great spots to enjoy walks, two great places to visit would be the Bridgewater Canal and Worsley Woods. Worsley Woods hosts a weekly park run for those who enjoy running, which is great for getting to know the locals.

Local schools to Worsley can be found on the Salford City Council website, there are several Primary Schools to choose from. There is also The Lowry Academy which is the local Secondary School.

Detached House

Detached properties on average sold for £457,869. Based on the current market, properties of this average price include 3-4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The majority of these properties include an open plan kitchen diner. The properties also include a good-sized garden. You can also expect for this average price of a detached home a driveway, with a garage.

Semi-detached house

Last year, on average, semi-detached homes in Worsley sold for £273,617. For this price, you can expect to purchase a property with 2-4 bedrooms. Properties which are on the market at the moment also include a garden and driveway.

Terraced

£202,876 was the average price for terraced houses sold last year. These homes include 2-3 bedrooms with 1 bathroom. Some of these properties do include a driveway, along with a garden or yard.
